Play the puzzle A picture from this book, from 4 big pieces up Hello young readers, I am the heroine of these children’s books, and I am 8 years old! These stories are from my life and I have told them to my parents. My parents have created these books so that I can share my adventures with you. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences as much as I enjoyed living them. Remember, just like me, you are special and can do amazing things. And always remember, your parents love you very much. With love and adventure, Yours Whyia
Today Whyia woke up, stretched, smiled, and thought: “Why?...
Why is it raining from a cloud?” She decided to ask about it clouds.
Whyia quickly brushed her teeth, made her bed, and had breakfast.
Then she turned around three times and exclaimed “look at me, here I stand! not a girl! a cloud instead!” and turned into a cloud.
Whyia spent hours drifting through the sky, exploring the world from above.
She fl ew over forests and mountains, rivers and lakes.
She even fl ew all the way to the beach, where she watched the waves crashing against the shore.
Suddenly, Whyia heard strange sounds.
s she looked around, she saw one little cloud sitting and crying. The tears dripped down like rain. Whyia remembered her question and came closer to the cloud.
“Hi! My name is Whyia, who are you? And why are you crying?” “Hi! I’m Lily. The people from this city have been asking for rain for a long time. So, I cry, the rain fl ows, and the people are happy.” “Do you know why you bring the rain?”
Lily replied, “Of course, Whyia. I bring the rain because it’s my job.
When the air gets warm and moist, it rises up into the sky and cools.
As the moisture condenses, it forms clouds like us.
When the clouds get heavy enough, the rain falls back down to Earth.”
Whyia was amazed by this process. “Wow, that’s so cool! I want to try to bring some rain to Earth too!”
Lily chuckled and patted Whyia on the head. “You’ll get your chance soon enough, little one. Just keep fl oating and growing, and the rain will come.”
Sure enough, as the day went on, Whyia grew bigger and bigger, until she was ready to let out a refreshing rain shower for all to enjoy.
fter that, she felt happy and satisfi ed with today’s adventure, so she fl ew back home.
Near home, she turned around three times and exclaimed “look at me, here I stand!
not a cloud! a girl instead!” and she turned back into a girl.
t the dinner that morning, Whyia told her mother the story of how she had become a cloud. Her mother listened with wide eyes and a look of amazement on her face.
“You had an interesting day today!” she said when Whyia had fi nished. “I can’t believe that you were actually a cloud! But I’m so glad that you are back to being my little girl again.”
Whyia smiled and nodded, still feeling a bit bewildered by everything that had happened. But she was happy to be back with her mother and able to live a normal life once again. She knew she would have another question for another adventure. And her mom would be listening to more and more of her stories yet to come...
