Welcome to whyia.world, run by the ABCs of Growing Up Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 92-3949189). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Free for families

All Whyia books, coloring pages, puzzles and parent guides on whyia.world are free for personal and family use. You may read them, print coloring pages and share links to the site.

What you may not do

The Whyia stories, illustrations, characters and guides belong to the ABCs of Growing Up Foundation. Without our written permission, please do not:

• sell or charge for our books, pages or illustrations;
• republish them on another website or app, or in print, beyond personal and classroom use;
• use the Whyia name or character in products, ads or other commercial work.

Teachers, librarians and therapists are welcome to use the books with the children they work with. If you would like to do more, such as translate a book, write to us. We are happy to hear from you.

Parents and children

The site is made for children to use with a parent or caregiver. Only a parent or caregiver may sign up with an email address. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information, especially information about children.

Guides for parents are not medical advice

Our parent guides share general information and practical ideas. They are not medical, psychological or legal advice and do not replace a professional who knows your child. If you are worried about your child’s health, safety or development, please talk to your pediatrician or a qualified specialist. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Donations

Donations to the Foundation, including the monthly “Storyteller” gift, are processed by Stripe. You can cancel a monthly gift at any time from the link in your Stripe receipt or by writing to us. Donations are generally tax deductible in the United States to the extent allowed by law; please keep your receipt.

Links to other sites

We link to sites we do not control, such as Stripe and YouTube. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

The site as it is

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the Foundation is not liable for damages that come from using or not being able to use the site.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the Foundation is registered.
