Hello young readers, I am the heroine of these children’s books, and I am 8 years old! These stories are from my life and I have told them to my parents. My parents have created these books so that I can share my adventures with you. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences as much as I enjoyed living them. Remember, just like me, you are special and can do amazing things. And always remember, your parents love you very much. With love and adventure, Yours Whyia

One sunny day, Whyia was walking in the yard, thinking about an exciting activity she could do.

nd suddenly she noticed that her friend Phoebe was crying, and she wanted to help.

So, she closed her eyes and said: Look at me; here I stand! Not a girl, but an owl instead!

— And transformed into a wise owl.

As an owl, Whyia fl ew to the forest to seek advice from the other animals on how to help Phoebe stop crying.

She met another wise owl and asked, “My friend Phoebe is feeling sad, and I want to help her. What should I do?”

he owl replied, “You could ask her to help her mom with bake some treats. Helping others can make you feel better and it can be a fun activity to do together.”

Feeling grateful for the owl’s advice, Whyia flew to Phoebe’s house and said, “Look at me; here I stand! Not an owl, but a girl instead!”

“Whyia, what are you doing here?” Phoebe asked, surprised.

“I saw that you were upset, Phoebe. I came to see if I could help,” Whyia said.

Phoebe looked down and said, “I’m just feeling sad. My older brother and his friends went for a walk, but they said I am too little to go with them.

It’s always like this! I can only walk here in the yard! His friends don’t even see me as a person—just a little thing!”

“But you’re a person to me. Why don’t we do something together?” Whyia suggested.

“You could help your mom bake some treats, and I’ll help too.”

Phoebe smiled, feeling better already.

Together, they helped Phoebe’s mom bake some delicious cookies. Phoebe’s mom appreciated the help, and they all had fun baking together.

She even gave Whyia some cookies to take home to her parents.

Phoebe’s brother returned home and was being kind to his sister too.

“Thank you so much, Whyia. You always know how to make me feel better,” Phoebe said, hugging her friend.

Whyia smiled, happy to have helped her friend.

“Anytime, Phoebe. That’s what friends are for.”
