Hello young readers, I am the heroine of these children’s books, and I am 8 years old! These stories are from my life and I have told them to my parents. My parents have created these books so that I can share my adventures with you. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences as much as I enjoyed living them. Remember, just like me, you are special and can do amazing things. And always remember, your parents love you very much. With love and adventure, Yours Whyia

Why are there so many snowfl akes in the snow? So many?

Whyia decided to fi nd the answer! She fi nished washing her face and said,

“Look at me; here I stand! Not a girl, but a snowfl ake instead!”

and turned into a snowfl ake!

Whyia fl ew through the bathroom window to join the other snowfl akes. She turned to her fellow snowfl akes and asked, “Why are there so many of us? Why is there so much snow?”

he other snowfl akes looked at Whyia in surprise. They had never thought of such a question before. “Well,” said one snowfl ake, “We are all made of water, and when the temperature is cold enough, the water freezes and forms ice crystals, which become snowfl akes.”

Whyia was still not satisfi ed. “But why is the temperature so cold?” she asked.

“And why do we fall from the sky?”

he other snowfl akes looked at each other, unsure of how to answer.

But then an older and more experienced snowfl ake spoke up.

“The temperature is cold because of the season, and we fall from the sky because of the wind. The wind carries us up into the clouds, where we freeze and become snowfl akes. Then, when the wind blows us back down to the ground, we fall as snow.”

Whyia was amazed. She had never thought about how and why snowflakes formed before. She thanked the older snowflake for his explanation and went on her way, still falling from the sky but now with a newfound understanding and appreciation for the beauty and wonder of snow.

s Whyia was falling from the sky, she suddenly found herself being carried away by the wind. She was swept up and out of the clouds, and before she knew it, she was fl ying through her bathroom window.

Whyia immediately said, “Look at me; here I stand. Not a snowfl ake, but a girl instead!” She fi nished washing her face and went to the kitchen to have breakfast.

s she sat down at the table, her mother looked at her with a concerned expression. “Where have you been, Whyia? I’ve been worried sick,” she asked.

Whyia smiled and told her mother all about her dream and the things she had learned about snow.

She explained how the water freezes and turns into ice crystals to form snowfl akes and how the wind carries them up into the clouds and then back down to the ground.

Her mother listened with amazement and was proud of her daughter for being so curious and eager to learn.

She hugged Whyia and said, “I’m glad you had a good dream and learned something new. Now, let’s eat breakfast.”

nd so, Whyia enjoyed her breakfast, grateful for the experience and the new knowledge she gained in her dream. She knew she would always

remember the lesson of the snowfl akes and would always be curious and eager to learn more about the world around her.
