Hello young readers, I am the heroine of these children’s books, and I am 8 years old! These stories are from my life and I have told them to my parents. My parents have created these books so that I can share my adventures with you. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences as much as I enjoyed living them. Remember, just like me, you are special and can do amazing things. And always remember, your parents love you very much. With love and adventure, Yours Whyia

Whyia and her cousin Ethan were playing in the park when Ethan suddenly pointed at Tom’s

remote-controlled car and said, “I want one like that!”

“Why can’t your mom buy one for you?” “Mom says she doesn’t have enough money. She and gran can’t afford it,” Ethan replied, looking downcast.

Whyia thought for a moment and then said, “I have an idea! I’ll transform into a bird and ask the wise owl about money.”

So, Whyia said: “Look at me; here I stand! Not a girl, but a bird instead!”, transformed into a little bird and fl ew to the wise owl’s tree. “Mr. Owl, can you tell me about money, please?” Whyia asked.

“Of course, little bird. Money is something we use to trade for things we want or need. It’s like exchanging something of value for something else,” the wise owl explained. “Why can’t we just take what we want without paying for it?” Whyia asked.

“That’s not how it works. Imagine if you worked hard to make a cake, and someone just took it without asking or giving you anything in return. How would that make you feel?” the wise owl asked.

“Oh, I see. I understand now.” Whyia said, then thanked the owl and flew back to Ethan.

Then she said: “Look at me; here I stand! Not a bird, but a girl instead!”, transformed and came to her cousin. “Whyia, what did the owl say about money?” Ethan asked eagerly. “He said that we need to earn money to buy the things we want because taking things without paying isn’t fair,” Whyia explained.

“But I really want that remote-controlled car. I don’t know what to do now,” Ethan said sadly.

s Ethan spoke, a man walking a dog nearby stopped to listen to their conversation. It was a doctor from the hospital where Ethan’s mom worked. The doctor knew Ethan’s mom well and decided to step in.

“Excuse me, Ethan. I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation. Your mom works at the hospital with me,

and I think I might be able to help. You see, I don’t have enough time to walk my dog, Luna, every day…

…If you wouldn’t mind walking with her in the park, I’d be happy to pay you a fee which could help you buy your dream car soon.” the doctor explained.

Ethan’s face lit up with excitement. “Really? That would be amazing! Thank you, doctor! I’m in the park every day with Gran or Aunt Emily. We could take Luna with us!”

Whyia was delighted for Ethan, and they both started running through the park with Luna, laughing and playing. The doctor watched with a smile and then walked over to Whyia’s mom, sitting on a bench nearby. “Excuse me, ma’am. I couldn’t help but notice that your sister Laura has a wonderful son. He’s a nice boy, and she’s a great mom, too, not to mention you and your wonderful Whyia…

…Laura is a really kind woman, a good professional and a nice friend. So I’d be glad to help her son a little. Luna really needs somebody to walk with her.”

The doctor was petting Luna, who had stopped running and was resting at his feet. Whyia’s mom hugged both children. running and was resting at his feet. Whyia’s mom hugged both children.

“Isn’t that wonderful, Ethan? You have a real job now!”

The doctor smiled and said, “Great! If you walk Luna every day this week, I’ll pay you on Sunday.” Ethan grinned and said, “Okay, cool! Whyia, I’ll immediately buy us each an ice cream!”

“Not so fast, Ethan,” the doctor replied.

“If you want to save up for the car, you can’t spend all your money on ice cream. You have to save some of it and start planning.” Ethan nodded in agreement, “You’re right. I’ll save some money and buy us ice cream only once a week. And then, by the end of the month, I’ll have enough money to buy the car!”

Whyia smiled and said, “That’s a great plan, Ethan.”

Ethan asked his aunt Emily, Whyia’s mother, to help him calculate his savings and plan his expenses. They made a plan to save a portion of his earnings each week and put it in a savings account.

“Aunt, can you be my bank and keep my savings for me?” Ethan asked. “Of course, Ethan. I’ll help you keep track of your savings and expenses,” Whyia’s mom replied with a smile.

Ethan looked really happy, And Whyia didn’t know if Ethan was so pleased because of his new job or because he would have the toy he wanted.

But the main thing was he was happy, and Whyia was happy for him, too.
