Hello young readers, I am the heroine of these children’s books, and I am 8 years old! These stories are from my life and I have told them to my parents. My parents have created these books so that I can share my adventures with you. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences as much as I enjoyed living them. Remember, just like me, you are special and can do amazing things. And always remember, your parents love you very much. With love and adventure, Yours Whyia

Whyia awoke, stretched, smiled, and thought: “Why?...

Why did the windows in dad’s car fog up? We couldn’t see anything through them! It was awful!”

Whyia decided to fi nd the answer! She was sitting on her bed, thinking about how to answer her question, and decided to use her magic spell

“Look at me, here I stand! Not a girl, but a car instead!” With that, she turned into a car on her street.

Other cars were looking at her with great interest—after all, she had appeared on the street from nowhere!

Whyia looked at them, “The windows are fogged up everywhere, just like yesterday!” She couldn’t understand why it kept happening, so she decided to ask the other cars around her.

First, Whyia approached a big SUV named Max. “Hello, Mr. SUV! Since your windows are clear, you must know the answer to my question. Why do car windows get foggy?”

Max shrugged and explained, “See, small pal, when warm air inside the car meets a cold window, the moisture in the air turns into tiny droplets, which we see as fog on the windows.”

Whyia thanked Max but was still curious, so she asked a sports car named Zoom. “Hello! Why are your windows not fogged up? Is it because you are so shiny?”

Zoom laughed, thanked Whyia, and explained, “I use a special feature called ‘defrost’ that

blows hot air onto my windows to keep my windows clear.”

Whyia was grateful for Zoom’s explanation and decided to tell her dad about the defrost feature so his windows wouldn’t fog up in the future.

So, she sang her spell, “Look at me; here I stand! Not a car, but a girl instead!” She turned into a little girl again.

Whyia decided to walk home. Along the way, she saw the cars she had talked to earlier and waved goodbye to them.

As she approached her home, she saw her dad sitting on the porch.

“That is what will help your car’s windows! With defrost they will not get foggy!”—and she explained in all the details.

She ran up to him, “Dad, I’ve learned something about why your car windows fog up! You need a defrost setting to fi x the problem!” She explained all the details.

Her dad was impressed and asked her, “Whyia, thank you. But how have you learned about this?” “Oh! I spoke with the cars in the parking lot!” answered Whyia.

Her dad was a bit surprised but happy that his daughter was so curious about the world around her. “Ok, thank you, Whyia,” he said. “I will fi nd that defrost feature for the car.”

s Whyia and her dad were talking about the defrost feature, her mom came out of the house. She was surprised to see her daughter up so early in the morning: “Whyia, where have you been? You are up early!”

“That is because I turned into a car! I needed to know why car windows get foggy.” Whyia said.

“Oh, you are such an explorer! I am glad you are a girl again and not a car!” But despite her surprise,

she was happy that her daughter had learned something new and had such a unique experience.

“You have learned a new and exciting thing today! Let’s all sit down and have breakfast together to celebrate it!” So, they all sat down at the kitchen table and enjoyed a delicious breakfast as a family. They chatted and laughed while they ate, and Whyia couldn’t help but feel grateful for the special day she’d had. But she knew it was not the end of her adventures…
